What INDIVA Did for Earth Week

Each year on Apr. 22, the world marks the anniversary of the vast modern environmental movement known as Earth Day.

Created in 1970 at a time when the extent of humans impact on this planet had not been fully revealed, Earth Day is the largest secular observance in the world, observed by more than a billion people annually. The urgency to make a change to our behavior for a cleaner environment has never been so clear.

At INDIVA, we know how important our environment is, which is why we have our very own Green Team who help drive our environmental initiatives.

This Earth Day, INDIVA took sustainability one step further and created activities spanning the whole week for employees. The activities encouraged all members of the INDIVA team to carpool, reduce single plastic use, stop using straws, go meatless and partake in a garbage pickup facilitated by London’s Clean and Green initiative.

“Our employees are passionate about the environment and we know this is an important topic across the globe,” said Courtney Morgan, the company’s Health and Community Engagement Leader. “Here at INDIVA, we hope to be leaders in the community when it comes to protecting our planet, so creating a week of activities made sense.”

Since INDIVA is a member of the London business community, partnering up with local environmental organizations is important. INDIVA is a proud member of ReForest London and has joined the organization’s Million Tree Challenge by participating in tree planting events and will advocate the importance of this programs to our clients and business partners.

Further commitments include filling the office with 100 percent recycled paper and printing some marketing materials on seed paper which will allow clients to participate by planting trees and giving back to the community.
